Internships are a critical tool for recruiting, training, and empowering the next generation of public defense professionals.  A successful internship program will benefit your clients, your office staff, and your interns alike...but it requires some work to pull off!  Join Georgia Sims, Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the Nashville Defenders, as she shares how Nashville developed a successful internship program that employs undergraduates, social work and other non-law graduate students, and law students.  She'll also provide practical advice and pointers for hosting and supervising student interns in the real (or virtual) world.
