This session will explore the challenges faced by juvenile clients of color within the criminal justice system. Specifically, this session will discuss the impact of race related stress and trauma on the experience of juvenile clients of color. Additionally, this session will highlight steps for including a racial trauma informed lens when engaging with juvenile clients of color. Lastly, this session will provide tools for communicating a racial trauma informed narrative within the court setting.
