DNA evidence carries a patina of objectivity, but its interpretation can be a subjective enterprise prone to bias, particularly when it comes to DNA mixtures. Software programs purported to “solve” the problem of complex mixtures perpetuate many existing issues while creating new ones. This session will help you spot legal and scientific issues related to DNA mixture evidence.
