We are taught how to cross examine. We are taught how to get inculpatory and exculpatory evidence. But we rarely are taught useful negotiation skills. This presentation discusses techniques, psychology, and examples of ways to best advocate for clients through the thing you will do most of: negotiate.

We will review current books, old techniques, and issues specific to public defenders to provide a new prism through which an attorney can view negotiations.
