Emerging Adult Litigation Specialist
Elizabeth is a lifelong public defender. She has provided zealous advocacy for her clients and supported her OPD colleagues during her time with the Youthful Defendant Unit where she represented children charged as adults in Baltimore City, as a supervisor in the Juvenile Division in Baltimore City, the interim supervisor in the Juvenile Division in Baltimore County, where she was tasked with implementing a Youthful Defendant Unit and best practice model in delinquency cases, and currently as the Emerging Adult Litigation Specialist. In her current role, Elizabeth serves as a resource to attorneys across the state by developing and assisting in the implementation of best practices in emerging adult cases as well as complex waiver/transfer hearings across Maryland. She provides support, training, and professional development to our attorneys and staff on the specific intricacies involved in the representation of emerging adults in criminal and juvenile courts.
